Chemical Express S.r.l. proudly presents its 2024 Sustainability Report, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to responsible growth and innovation. The report highlights our integrated approach to sustainability, rooted in environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and solid corporate governance. As a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, we actively align our strategies with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that every aspect of our business contributes to a better future. Sustainability is embedded in our core operations—from logistics to corporate culture. In 2024, we strengthened our environmental efforts through a wide range of initiatives: optimizing routes, increasing the use of intermodal transport, investing in photovoltaic energy, and adopting cleaner fuels such as Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO). As a result, we reduced our CO₂ emissions per kilometer traveled, even while increasing the volume of goods transported. At Chemical Express, social responsibility goes hand in hand with business performance. We prioritize the health, safety, and development of our people through extensive training, ongoing wellness programs, and a strong focus on diversity and inclusion. Over 35% of our workforce is made up of people from different nationalities, and we continue to promote women in technical roles—well above the industry average. Community engagement is another cornerstone of our sustainability model. In 2024, we deepened our partnerships with universities and schools, offering internships and training programs designed to prepare young talent for the logistics and chemical transport sectors. These initiatives are already generating measurable impact, with several students joining our workforce after completing their placements. Our governance model is designed to ensure transparency, ethics, and accountability. We’ve adopted an integrated management system certified to international standards (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 39001), and we maintain close collaboration with leading industry associations such as ALIS, ECTA, and EPCA. We are also proud participants in the Responsible Care program, further reinforcing our commitment to safety and sustainability in chemical logistics.
