Global Compact Network Italia
Chemical Express is pleased to announce that it has signed the “Businesses for People and Society” Manifesto, the text aimed at companies and drawn up by the UN Global Compact Network Italy, the local network of the United Nations Global Compact, the largest initiative of corporate sustainability in the world. By signing the Manifesto, Chemical Express srl is committed to strengthening the role of the social dimension in its corporate strategies to generate long-term value also in the supply chain and in the communities in which it operates. In addition to environmental and governance objectives, Chemical Express believes in and implements corporate strategies to achieve the objective of community well-being by preserving and improving the quality of life of present and future generations. The United Nations Global Compact is a special initiative of the United Nations Secretary-General that has the mandate to guide and support the global business community in promoting the goals and values of the United Nations through responsible business practices. With more than 20,000 companies and over 3,500 nonprofit signatories based in 167 countries and 62 local networks, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. The United Nations Global Compact operates in Italy through the UN Global Compact Network Italy (UNGCN Italy), an organization established as a Foundation in 2013 after ten years of activity as an informal group. The Italian Network works first and foremost to promote the UN Global Compact and its Ten Principles through institutional dialogue, the production of knowledge and the dissemination of good sustainability practices. It is also committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations for 2030. Over 600 Italian companies and non-profit organizations participate in the UN Global Compact.

Since December 2023 we have formally and substantially joined the United Nations global pact (UN Global Compact) to demonstrate our desire to contribute to the creation of a sustainable global economy that respects human and labor rights, environmental protection and the fight against corruption .
ALIS
Chemical Express is a member of ALIS, the Logistics Association of Sustainable Intermodality, a trade association with more than 1,400 operators in the transport sector. Some of the main objectives of the ALIS are the internationalization of the transport companies, the territorial continuity with the big islands, the relaunch of the Southern Italy territory, and the environmental sustainability.
ECTA
For some years now Chemical Express has been a member of the ECTA, the association that brings together European transport companies specializing in the chemical sector. The association's roles include harmonizing the national laws of the EU member countries, establishing guidelines together with the association of CEFIC chemical producers regarding safety standards and being a valid interlocutor for dialogue with the various operators of the sector.

Chemical Express is member of EPCA, the association of European petrochemicals. EPCA boasts among its members the most important chemical producers in the world, alongside various operators including chemical transport companies. Every year, in a different location, it is hosted for several days a meeting that boasts the intervention of over 2700 delegates, gathered to discuss new strategies for the sustainable development of the world petrochemical industry. Chemical Express is a frequent visitor to these meetings, in which the foundations are laid to establish new business relationships, which in some cases have become real partnerships with new customers.
TankCEU
Chemical Express is proud to have recently joined TankCEU, the European association of haulage contractors specialising in the transportation of chemicals and food grade liquids in tankers and tank containers by road, rail and boat. TankCEU was founded in 1990 by a group of 9 well-established companies and has since grown to a membership of 21, representing in total around 10000 units.
Responsible Care
Another association Chemical Express has enthusiastically joined, fully embracing the project to promote the sustainable development of the chemical industry, with a strong orientation to the issues of safety, health and the environment, within a more general plan of Corporate Social Responsibility. As part of this association, Chemical Express has increased its vocation of companies specializing in intermodal transport, finding further incentives to favor this mode of transport that allows it to be able to reduce CO2 emissions in the atmosphere, while ensuring its own availability in the continuous communication process on Health safety and environment issues inside and outside the company, sharing the best corporate practices, defining and using indicators to improve performance etc.
